Odessa charity foundation “The Way Home” was founded in 1996 (officially registered in 1998). The purpose of creation is to give complex medicopsychological rehabilitation and social adaptation to homeless adults, street kids and drug users.
Currently organization realizes wide activity in three directions: prevention of drug addiction and HIV/AIDS by strategy of harm reduction, prevention of child`s homelessness and rehabilitation of street kids, and also giving of social and medical services to homeless adults.
“The Way Home” enjoys deserved authority on local, national and international levels. UNICEF foundation, European Union, International HIV/AIDS Alliance in Ukraine, Elton John Foundation, "World Childhood Foundation" founded by Sweden Queen, "The Rufford Maurice Laing Foundation" and others support the initiatives of our organization. “The Way Home” is also a member of Ukrainian Harm Reduction Association.
Currently scores of qualified specialists work at three departments of Odessa charity foundation “The Way Home”. Many of them are coaches and experts on international level, and possess unique experience.
Every year high-ranking officials of domestic and international politics, sports and show business visit “Way Home”. The activity of organization and raised issues attract attention of Ukrainian and foreign press.
